Pain after shingles can last for years - studies show micro-immunotherapy can offer relief

13/1/2020

The most common complication of Shingles is pain, also known as Post Herpatic Neuralgia (PHN) and is due to damage to the skin and nerves after the acute stage of this disease.

Shingles is the result of the reactivation of the Chicken Pox virus in the body, affecting nerves, the reasons aren’t fully understood.

The pain of Shingles or PHN can vary in severity from mild to severe. It can be described from sharp stabbing to burning, constant and sometimes unbearable. The area involved can be sensitive and tender to touch. It can affect work, social and home life, sometimes leading to depression.

The affected area can suffer from tingling numbness and itching. In some cases shingles can occur without a rash, called internal shingles and in rare cases it can spread to internal organs causing serious complications. You should always consult your GP if you suspect you may have Shingles.

Studies have shown that Micro-immunotherapy can help lessen the pain and offer relief for PHN.

Micro-immunotherapy innovative medicines contain high dilutions of interleukins, growth factors and specific nucleic acids (SNA) for the support of the immune system by restoring balance leading to a positive effect on the person’s overall health and defences. It can be successfully used in this or any other inflammatory and autoimmune diseases which are the consequence of imbalance in our immune system. The main object is to restore and correct the functioning of our immune system.

Micro-immunotherapy seeks to regulate the immune response and optimally modulate the inflammation and contributes to correcting the function of the immune system. It can be safely used alongside conventional medicine as an excellent supportive therapy.

Dr Bhatti is the first doctor to practise Micro-immunotherapy in Ireland.

Micro-immunotherapy is a natural evidence based treatment which seeks to regulate the immune response with high dilutions of messenger molecules such as interleukins, growth factors, nucleic acids and optimally modulate the inflammation and contributes to correcting the function of the immune system.

It can be used alongside conventional medicine as an ally and a supportive therapy for immune related disorders.

Dr Bhatti is the first doctor in Ireland to practise Micro-immunotherapy.

Here are some of it's applications:
  1. Auto-immune diseases – Rheumatoid arthritis, Fibromyalgia, Hashimoto thyroiditis
  2. Infections - Viral infections (CMV, EBV, Viral Hepatitis, Herpes Simplex), Bacterial infections, Parasitic infections, Fungal infections Micro-immunotherapy can help the immune system detect these infective agents and help control their multiplication within the body.It can help chronic fatigue.
  3. Disorders of bones and joints – Arthrosis, Inflammatory conditions, Periodontitis, Osteoporosis
  4. Neurological disorders - Age-related memory disorders, Parkinsons, Chronic stress, Depression Micro-immunotherapy seeks to regulate the immune response and optimally modulate the inflammation and contributes to correcting the function of the nervous system.
  5. Allergies Allergies are an exaggerated reaction of our immune system triggered by substances such as dust, pollen etc. that for the majority of the population are harmless. Micro-immunotherapy seeks to reduce and help correct the exaggerated response, and helps the individual to better tolerate the allergens. Micro-immunotherapy can help build strong immunity.

Micro-immunotherapy and some of its applications

20/12/2019

Micro-immunotherapy is an immune modulation therapy that uses the same messengers as the immune system such as cytokines, hormones, growth factors, nucleic acids and specific nucleic acids to transmit information to the body and readjust the immune response.

In other words the objective of Micro-immunotherapy is to restore the correct communication between the immune system cells to help them recover their innate capacity to defend against aggressors or to limit the response when aggravated.

In contrast to classical Immunotherapy, Micro-immunotherapy formulas use a broad range of immune substances (so called messengers). These are prepared in low concentrations (low doses) through a process of dilution dynamisation, and guaranteeing high tolerance.

Furthermore, depending on whether stimulation, modulation or inhibition of the organism is desired, the levels of concentrations used can vary within the same formula. Just as it occurs naturally in the body, the substances are administered by following a specific sequence and a precise order.

So Micro-immunotherapy can be a loyal ally in the treatment of diseases resulting from an imbalance of the immune system, both acute and chronic infections, inflammatory or auto-immune diseases.

Micro-immunotherapy does not replace the immune system and neither forces it nor blocks it, but rather it informs immunity subtly, therefore making it compatible with other treatments.

Micro-immunotherapy is an ally for the immune system. There are international doctors’ associations committed to Micro-immunotherapy training for healthcare professionals. With the help of Serology and other blood tests, the progress of Micro-immunotherapy treatment can be monitored.

Dr Bhatti is the first doctor to practise Micro-immunotherapy in Ireland.

At the Holistic Health Clinic, Dr. Bhatti uses a multi pronged approach in treating this and many other conditions with evidence based therapies such as Micro-immunotherapy, Physiological Regulating Medicine (P.R.M), Gut Health and Microbiome restoration, Nutritional and Nutraceutical therapies, Lifestyle Medicine, Natural Hormonal Balancing, Glandular support, Soft tissue and joint support, Complex Homeopathy, Herbals, and Needle free Medical Acupuncture, Therapeautic Mindfulness and CBT techniques to achieve excellent results.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease describes the disorders that involve the chronic infection of the gastro intestinal tract. There are two main categories:
  1. Crohn’s Disease – characterised by inflammation anywhere in the digestive tract, also it can involve all the layers of the lining of the bowel. There are often healthy parts of bowel in between the inflammation.
  2. Ulcerative Colitis – characterised by inflammation and sores or ulcers in the innermost lining of the large intestine (colon) and rectum.
Both conditions have some common symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, fatigue, fever, weight loss and blood in stools.
Common conventional treatments:
  • Anti-inflammatories
  • Immune suppressors
  • Antibiotics
  • Steroids etc.

Micro-immunotherapy medicines contain high dilutions of interleukins, growth factors and specific nucleic acids (SNA) for the support of the immune system by restoring leading to a positive effect on the person’s overall health and defences. Haemorrhoids are swollen veins of the lower rectal area, usually resulting from pressure. They can be external or internal. They can result in pain, itching, irritation and bleeding. It can be difficult to find a comfortable position to sit. It is quite a common condition, over 4% of the population in the western world suffer with it. It is most common in both men and women aged between 45 and 65. In severe cases, they may get thrombosed and a clot might form which can be very painful, in some cases ongoing bleeding may lead to anaemia and in rare circumstances piles may indirectly lead to faecal incontinence, hence it is always advisable to go and see your GP.

Here are some of the causes:
1. Straining during bowel movement
2. Sitting for long periods of time
3. Chronic constipation or diarrhoea
4. Obesity
5. Low fibre diet
6. Pregnancy
7. Chronic cough
8. Sedentary lifestyle

What is causing my dizziness & can micro-immunotherapy help?

10/7/2019

Dizziness (lightheadedness) means different things to different people usually it is not a sign of something serious but if you are suffering from this condition then you should consult your doctor and get it investigated and treated.

Sometimes it is difficult to identify and isolate the reason for your dizziness and your G.P might have to refer you to a specialist or an emergency room, especially if your dizziness is associated with headaches, chest pains, fainting, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, tinnitus or hearing loss, fever or other signs and symptoms of infection.

I sometimes tell my patients to keep a diary of symptoms how did it all start and how it progressed, and any association to part of the day and if anything makes it worse.

Common causes:
1. Ear infection
2. Stress & Anxiety
3. Migraine
4. Meniere’s disease ( vertigo )
5. Head injury
6. If you are a diabetic or if you suffer from low blood sugar levels
7. low blood pressure
8. If you suffer from hardening of the blood vessel supplying your brain
9. If you are suffering or recovering from a severe illness
10. If you are abusing alcohol or drugs
11. Irregular heart rhythm
12. Some blood pressure medication and anti depressants can cause lightheadedness
13. Malabsorption and Malnutrition
14. Candida / Leaky gut,
15. Chronic fatigue etc...
16. In severe case it can be associated with chest pain, heart attack or meningitis. It is always important to immediately (urgently) seek medical attention and treatment.

Once the reason for your dizziness is identified by your doctor complementary therapies can be very useful. Acupuncture has been used for centuries to treat dizziness. Combination of therapies such as Low dose medicine, lifestyle medicine, nutritional therapy, gut health and microbiome restoration, living a mindful lifestyle can all help.

Micro-immunotherapy can play a very positive role depending on the cause of dizziness especially if your immune system is involved, this treatment can be safely used in adults as well as kids.

Dr Bhatti is qualified medical doctor who has worked in all the main hospitals in Galway and has more than thirty years experience in complementary medical care.

In the Holistic Health Clinic, Dr.
