A study suggests that due to higher levels of the stress hormone cortisol women who are usually of slender build can become vulnerable to extra abdominal fat.

During anxious times people can also tend to overeat, due to increased levels of insulin which can cause cravings for sugary and fatty foods.

At stressful times many of us indulge in comfort eating which can lead to weight-gain. Having extra bally fat can lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, stroke and diabetes.

Dr Bhatti deals with this condition with Natural Hormonal and Glandular support in order to reduce cortisol levels by reducing stress.

In our clinic we use a multi pronged approach in treating many conditions with evidence based therapies such as Physiological Regulating Medicine (P.R.M), Gut Health and Microbiome restoration, Nutritional and Nutraceutical therapies, Lifestyle Medicine, Natural Hormonal Balancing, Glandular support, Soft tissue and joint support, Complex Homeopathy, Herbals, and Needle free Medical Acupuncture, Laser Acupuncture, Therapeautic Mindfulness and CBT techniques to achieve excellent results.

7/11/2019

Coeliac Disease, also known as Gluten Sensitive Enteropathy or Sprue, is an immune reaction to gluten which is a protein found in wheat, barley and rye.

Due to an immune response in people with this condition the lining of the small intestine can be damaged and can affect absorption of nutrients. Other symptoms can include fatigue, bloating, loss of weight, diarrhoea and anaemia, if not treated sometimes it can lead to serious complications. In some cases, Coeliac Disease can go undiagnosed for years.

CAUSES:
Precise causes are unknown but scientists believe genes play a major role and other factors may include:
  • Bowel infections
  • Candida or Gut Bacteria Dysbiosis
  • Infant feeding practices
  • Stress – sometimes this disease can become active for the first time after severe emotional stress and trauma such as an accident, childbirth, viral infection, bereavement, relationship breakdown or any other traumatic event or severe emotional stress.

Dr Bhatti believes all aspects of this disease should be dealt with including the emotional side. Dr Bhatti also believes restoration of Gut Health and Microbiome, can play an essential role in the treatment of stress and stress related gastrointestinal conditions.

The role of micro-immunotherapy in treating inflammatory bowel disease

5/11/2019

Inflammatory Bowel Disease describes the disorders that involve the chronic infection of the gastro intestinal tract. There are two main categories:
  1. Crohn’s Disease – characterised by inflammation anywhere in the digestive tract, also it can involve all the layers of the lining of the bowel. There are often healthy parts of bowel in between the inflammation.
  2. Ulcerative Colitis – characterised by inflammation and sores or ulcers in the innermost lining of the large intestine (colon) and rectum.
Both conditions have some common symptoms such as abdominal pain, cramps, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, fatigue, fever, weight loss and blood in stools.
Common conventional treatments:
  • Anti-inflammatories
  • Immune suppressors
  • Antibiotics
  • Steroids etc.

Micro-immunotherapy medicines contain high dilutions of interleukins, growth factors and specific nucleic acids (SNA) for the support of the immune system by restoring leading to a positive effect on the person’s overall health and defences.
